On May 21, 2025, Shell celebrated a special anniversary – the 75th anniversary of its partnership with Scuderia Ferrari HP, which began at the Monaco Grand Prix in 1950. It is one of the longest-lasting alliances in motorsport history, combining a passion for speed with a relentless pursuit of innovation.
The partnership between Shell and Ferrari has been extended for the next few years. Shell will remain the supplier of Shell V-Power racing fuels and Shell Helix high-performance oils , and the collaboration will also include the development of new technologies and products supporting decarbonization – both in motorsport and everyday vehicle use. Joint activities focus on areas such as electric car charging, fluids for EVs, and the development of renewable energy sources.
Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Racing Revenues Officer at Ferrari, said: " We are incredibly proud to celebrate 75 years of partnership with Shell – a collaboration that has been an integral part of our history since Scuderia Ferrari's first race. This milestone demonstrates the durability and mutual commitment of our relationship and Shell's unwavering commitment to innovation in fuels and lubricants. Together we have shared victories, challenges and a relentless pursuit of performance and excellence. Looking ahead, we are excited to build a new era of sustainable motorsport together – both on and off the track. "

From the 2026 season, when new F1 engine regulations come into force, Shell will focus on developing and supplying the advanced, sustainable Shell V-Power racing fuel to Scuderia Ferrari HP and its partner teams.
David Bunch, Group Executive Vice President, Shell Mobility & Convenience, noted:
“ For over 75 years, Shell and Ferrari have shared a passion for innovation and performance. We are delighted to continue this partnership as we enter a new era of Formula 1. Our goal is to create better, more sustainable products that inspire the future of mobility .”
The new Shell V-Power Advanced Sustainable Race Fuel is made from renewable, FIA-compliant components, such as non-food biomass and municipal waste. While it offers significant emissions reductions compared to traditional gasoline, these emissions will be calculated over the product's entire life cycle and released during combustion. The fuel will be exclusively supplied to the Scuderia Ferrari HP team from the 2026 season onwards and will not be available for retail sale at Shell stations.
